This piece is about the karma of a woman dying and her son's take on it...
Your Mother is dying
Your mother is dying
And die she will
No matter what you say or do
Your mother is dying
Far from you
You may wonder why
And blame another
But only she can say
That it be this way
For againstness
Against one who is Light
Carries its own reward
Or punishment
Be it as it may
And die she will
No matter what you say or do
Your mother is dying
Far from you
You may wonder why
And blame another
But only she can say
That it be this way
For againstness
Against one who is Light
Carries its own reward
Or punishment
Be it as it may
A Time Pre-Ordained
Your mother is dying
This will not change
For her time is up
And nothing can
Forestall that that has been
Pre-ordained
We are but allowed
That which we choose
Long ago in realms outside of here
With Lords of Karma we sat
Choosing who we should be
To work out the karma
Accrued through lifetimes past
This will not change
For her time is up
And nothing can
Forestall that that has been
Pre-ordained
We are but allowed
That which we choose
Long ago in realms outside of here
With Lords of Karma we sat
Choosing who we should be
To work out the karma
Accrued through lifetimes past
Choosing our Near and Dear Ones
We choose our mums and dads
And those we would meet
The work to do and to complete
So perfect is it all
But nay you say
It cannot be that way
But still it is
And cannot be changed
The number of years or days
Allotted to us
Are well chosen
And so will be
And those we would meet
The work to do and to complete
So perfect is it all
But nay you say
It cannot be that way
But still it is
And cannot be changed
The number of years or days
Allotted to us
Are well chosen
And so will be
There is Nothing to be done
And who are you to question why
You who strayed far from the beaten path
With little respect to those who loved you
You mouthed the words
But little came from your heart
For there lay a wilderness
Too complex to navigate
Now time shows up
Its travail
Its pain and hurt
And those things you
Never cared about
Do not wail
Do not beseech
For there is nothing
You can do
But just accept
You who strayed far from the beaten path
With little respect to those who loved you
You mouthed the words
But little came from your heart
For there lay a wilderness
Too complex to navigate
Now time shows up
Its travail
Its pain and hurt
And those things you
Never cared about
Do not wail
Do not beseech
For there is nothing
You can do
But just accept
and so it is...
